Languagesfont For Thought

Whether language shapes thought in some way other than through the semantic information that it conveys. That is, the interesting debate is over whether the structure of language—syntactic, morphological, lexical, phonological, etc.—has an effect on thought. This distinction will be clearer when we consider specific. For this piece, I used the drawing of a girl to convey these thoughts and feelings. She is alone, smiling softly with eyes closed and headphones on. On her front, a cellphone with the wireless icon on display. The shape of this icon is the shape of the text on the top of her head. It reminds me of sound waves, and also of transmitting ideas. Thought without Language The strong form ofSapir-Whorf Hypothesis proposes that language determines thought; therefore they are identical in nature. This argument in fact implies that thought is impossible without language. Language is a carrier of thought, just like water is to water waves. Without water acting as a medium, water waves cannot.

Final Project

// Source Code:

The best and i-like-most part is support for major Indian languages. Font support and formatting is really very nice when it comes to Indian regional text. Audio: It has very basic audio player which supports MP3 format. This player is indeed basic, don’t expect rocking sound experience! Due to the limitation of word search processes in corpus-processing tools, the following syntactic features may require manual examination: (1) omission of inflected forms (including third-person singular and genitive) (2) wh-questions without the inversion of the subject and be or auxiliary verb (3) wh-questions without be or auxiliary verb (4) omission of be in the present tense (5) present.

Documentation: https://www.dropbox.com/s/41t4ewrpavfo1xt/Documentation.pdf?dl=0

Zipped folder with the processing sketch: https://www.dropbox.com/s/w7dp3w9uz27w325/finalproject.zip?dl=0
(runs correctly using the local image file, that I had problems on the online version)

This is the online version: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/42056530/onlinemandala/web-export/index.html
Unfortunately, for some reason, the image I created isn’t showing. I tried in many different ways, but couldn’t get it to work.
The processing part works fine: just click on the canvas to start drawing, press C to change colors and N for a new canvas!
I hope you can evaluate the Visual Art aspect by looking at the documentation or the zipped folder. Thanks in advance

I can also provide the source code here: https://icygazeoftheprincessoffireflies.wordpress.com/2014/12/17/final-project/
And this is the image I created. This can be another way of running the sketch locally. https://www.dropbox.com/s/nqkh4asl3rdj1qp/rightside.jpg?dl=0
But the zipped folder is much easier.
